Ibn Umer (Radiallaho Anho) relates,
Rasulullah (Sallallaho Alaihi Wassallam) said:

“Verily Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala) and His
Angels send blessings upon those who eat Sahoor”.

{ Al-Tabarani, Ibne-Hibban }

Ar-Rayyaan

Sahl Ibn Sa`d, may Allaah be pleased with him, reported
that the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said:

“In Paradise there is a gate which is called Ar-Rayyaan
through which only those who observe fasting will enter
on the Day of Resurrection. None else will enter through it.
It will be called out:
`Where are those who observe fasting?`
So they will stand up and proceed towards it.
When the last of them will have entered,
the gate will be closed
and then no one will enter through that gate.”

[Muslim].

Quran Translation in Jamia Ashrafia

In Jamia Ashrafia there’s a program with very suitable timings in Ramadan. It’s in morning after Sehri for nearly two hours. They will finish translation of Quran within 30 days of Ramadan. Separate arrangement for both; Ladies and Gents.
It is good to know the meaning of Quran so that we can actually understand Islam and try to act accordingly. This is a good chance in Ramadan that we have opportunity to attend such classes and lectures which are giving complete translation of Quran. This is a golden chance for us to understand the meaning of Quran within 30 days of this blessed month.

Understanding Quran Class in Ramadan’s Sundays

In Ramadan we’ll have four Sundays and this Understanding Quran Class is only on those four days. One Sunday is tomorrow on 23rd August, others are on 30th August, 6th September and 13th September. There is a seperate arrangement for both Gents and Ladies.

It is good to listen Taraweh with translation. I’ve seen two places in Model Town, Lahore where taraweh is planned with Urdu translatiion. One is in Quran Academy and other in Dar-ul-Huda. A Brief History About ZAMZAM Well

I’ve received an email with a brief history of ZAMZAM well. I thought to share it with all of you.

The Well of Zamzam (or the Zamzam Well, or just Zamzam; Arabic: ) is a well located within the Masjid al Haram in Mecca, 20 meters east of the Kaaba,[1]the holiest place in Islam. According to Islamic tradition it was a miraculously- generated source of water from angel Jibril (Gabriel), which began thousands of years ago when Ibraham’s infant son was thirsty. Millions of pilgrims visit the well each year while performing the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimages, in order to drink its water. By Saudi law, the water cannot be sold outside of the kingdom, but because of strong demand there is a thriving market in fake Zamzam water in other countries.

Zam Zam is 18X14 ft & 18 meter deep water well.

It started 4000 yrs ago.

Never dried since then.

Never changed the taste, no Algae or plant growth in the pond, thus no disease caused.

It was tested by European Laboratories & declared fit for drinking.

This small pond provides water to millions of people through heavy motors pulling 8000 lit: per second and after 24 hours in only 11 mins completes its level. Thus its water level never decreases

Islamic Course For Women

A course for women to know the basics of Islam in Quran Academy. Female teachers would teach you the basic Arabic Grammar so that you could read and understand Quran by yourself. Secondly some basics of Hadith and know the fundamentals of Islam.

They would also teach Tajveed and course timings are 4 pm to 7:30 pm. It’s duration would be 3 months which they haven’t mentioned in their leaflet. Classes are only first four days of week.

It has started from yesterday June 8, 2009 but if you want to enroll then it’s not too late, you could still enter in this course.
